The bandana uses evaporative cooling, one of the most natural and effective ways to reduce body temperature. It takes seconds to prepare and works straight away.
- Soak the bandana in cold water for 1 to 2 minutes until fully saturated
- Wring out any excess water so it is damp rather than dripping
- Tie it loosely around your dog's neck, sitting comfortably against the skin
- As the water evaporates from the fabric it draws heat away from the blood vessels in the neck, helping to cool your dog's overall body temperature
- Once it dries out, simply re-soak in cold water and it is ready to use again
- For extra cooling on a very warm day, use chilled or iced water when soaking

Which size should I choose?
Choose based on your dog's neck size. The bandana ties rather than clips so there is some flexibility in fit. Small suits dogs up to approximately 7 kg, medium suits dogs up to approximately 15 kg, and large suits larger breeds up to approximately 30 kg. Mila is a French Bulldog and wears a small.
How long does the cooling effect last?
It depends on the temperature and how active your dog is, but in typical warm weather you can expect around 30 to 60 minutes of cooling per soak. Once it dries out simply re-soak in cold water and it is ready to use again straight away.
